The Chicago History Museum (CHM) is a community hub that
celebrates the city’s past, present, and future. This Is Chicago is a fundraising campaign that will allow CHM to
continue to advance their three priorities - Our Home, Our Communities, and Our
Future.
In an effort to promote the campaign, CHM worked with Balance to create
the Capital Campaign Touchscreen Application.
Visitors explore images and descriptions of the campaign and
projects in fundraising phases, discovering ways their donations can help
support the community. The Lincoln Honor Roll provides a virtual version of the
Lincoln Honor Roll book, which celebrates the special individuals and families
who have included CHM in their estate planning, including historical figures
such as its namesake–President Abraham Lincoln to present day benefactors.
Balance also created a robust custom content management system (CMS). The CMS allows CHM admins a secure website that any non-technical
user can update, keeping the Capital Campaign Touchscreen Application
up-to-date with the latest projects, fundraising efforts, and signatures in the
Lincoln Honor Roll.
