We'll
see your request for a trade show display and raise you one amazing
virtual experience. In partnership with Visual Alchemy, Balance Studios
created a stand-out, interactive way for pharmaceutical leader,
Novartis, to show the effectiveness of its prescription drug, Cosentyx,
used to treat severe plague psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and
ankylosing spondylitis. Playing off the product's well-branded “see me”
slogan, the team created an augmented reality experience that allows
visitors to do just that: see sufferers with the affliction and observe
the medication's effectiveness.
Users hold an iPad over either a black
dress or a soccer uniform in the exhibit, until an avatar populates on
the screen and fills the clothes on display. Visitors can virtually see
the “me”—actual patients who have psoriasis conditions. Users tap on hot
spots affected with the disease, zoom in and slide between before and
after photos to see the difference the medication has made for actual
people. Additional detailed medical and drug information rounds out the
experience and shows Cosentyx's edge over other psoriasis medications.
