Imagination Zone Gaming System

Creating a one-of-a-kind virtual experience that combines fun, cute characters, and imagination? That's just what the creative team at Balance did when they created Imagination Zone. Tasked by Fun Brand, an international family entertainment enterprise who wanted to add platform-sensored games to their bounce house franchise locations, the team jumped right in, using our own adorable licensed characters and developed games that put kids into an immersive, motion-enabled, 360-degree gaming experience.

Built using Balance's proprietary volumetric augmented reality gaming platform, ARena, no special glasses or other materials are needed to play. Kids physically interact with characters and see themselves on a large, high-resolution video display where the custom-designed, 3D animated games get players moving and grooving all while interacting with each other and the virtual world.

Players bash balloons, tag a triceratops, and dance with some dazzling flamingos. To make it easier for Fun Brand to sell the finished gaming products to their customers, Balance built in a customizable game management queue and an integrated website account system which all sync together allowing franchisees to purchase the games directly from the gaming platform.

Volumetric Augmented Reality Application

As many as three players can compete and each chooses which dino they want to tag. When their selected dino emerges from its hole, the players run to tag it. The score board shows how many times each dino is tagged and, at the end, the dino tagged the most is awarded an animated gold star to celebrate his or her victory.

A multi-level gaming experience, players choose a colored lane and kick, slap, and hit beach balls and soccer balls that the Fantastic Flamingos toss. When the tee'd up football appears, players kick for extra points!

Players repeat color combinations—think the original Simon game—all while moving and grooving to fun party music themes reminiscent of the 1950s, 1980s, and 1990s. The Fantastic Flamingos demonstrate dance moves and players replicate moves and color combos. As each of the three levels progress, the dance combinations speed up and change to increase the challenge and excitement.

Up to four players can join in on this colorful balloon-popping party. Players stand on designated colored lanes and pop as many balloons and bubbles as they can in the allotted time; pop a star and get special Star Power extra points. At the end of the three-level game, the person who pops the most, wins!
