For the second consecutive year, Darren Lutz of Balance Studios and Celtic rock band Ceili Rain have brought home Unity Awards from the United Catholic Music & Video Association’s (UCMVA) 7th annual ceremony.
This year’s honors include a trophy for ‘Music Video/DVD of the Year’, awarded to ‘Hallways of Always’, the music video inspired by Ceili Rain’s moving song and directed by Darren and executive-produced by Tina Lutz of Balance. An esteemed award for ‘Group of the Year’ was also presented to Ceili Rain.
‘Hallways’ was shot all throughout Ireland, capturing footage of band members performing in dozens of outdoor, historic locations — ranging from Galway and Killarney to the remote village of Tulley Cross.
Scouting these fascinating points of interest within remote regions of a foreign land was quite an undertaking for two individuals from Green Bay’s Balance Studios — two individuals with a complete Celtic rock band and bulky film and music gear squeezed into the back of a cozy-little rental car (nicknamed ‘The Sweet Dan Dooley’).
The award-winning video turned out beautifully, and the experience is treasured by everyone involved.
