Chapman Green
Wanting to wow potential buyers, Chapman Green Luxury Apartments, BlueStar Group, and Selig Properties of Sydney, Australia, sought out Balance Studios for their augmented reality expertise. Using augmented reality (AR), property hunters worldwide could “walk through” luxury apartments without having to travel to Sydney. Combining the traditional marketing tools of billboards and a brochure-magazine with the innovative and experiential AR technology, customers purchased the apartments using this unique and engaging property buying combination.
Even before construction began, prospective buyers had a robust and detailed tour. They could even experience the apartments at different times of the day, knowing just where the Australian sun would filter into the various rooms, adding to this immersive experience like no other.
The app, featuring the AR experience, operates off of any of the three traditional marketing tools:
1. Activating the app off of the beautifully designed oversized brochure-magazine, users watch as the apartment building and surrounding grounds are built up in photo-real 3D. Potential buyers see the exterior of the building and the different apartment options. Once they “enter” the selected AR apartment experience, users are no longer tethered to the printed image of the brochure and can move around the environment freely. To enhance the feeling of being in the homes, guests seamlessly move through the space by tapping hot spots in various rooms and they can launch the quick-move floor plan that displays the tappable spots in each room.
2. Smaller billboards, featuring the Chapman Green luxury apartments, are located in train stations. When activated, the app displays the front entrance to the apartment building in photo-real 3D. The front doors open and the real-life salesperson emerges telling the viewer about the property. The app also includes a click-to-call button and a fillable form through which they can get more information on the apartments.
3. Full-sized billboards at the construction site offer a more dynamic look at the amenities of neighborhoods surrounding the apartment complexes. By using the penthouse balcony hotspot, users can get the perspective of standing several stories above the ground overlooking the neighborhood. No longer tethered to the image target on the billboard, they can explore the views with the gyro function of the camera-enabled device or return to the ground floor to explore the exterior of the building.
